Where does the T-shirt actually come from?

In the 19th century, the T-shirt was considered a vest and was only worn as such. It was not at all morally or socially accepted to wear it visibly. The T-shirt came to Germany in the 1960s and by the 1970s it was already a fashionable item of clothing that you no longer had to be ashamed of wearing. From 1980 and the following years, the T-shirt was so commonplace that no one was surprised about wearing it anymore. In addition to men, more and more women wore the trendy garment over time. Therefore, it is not surprising that nowadays it is generally seen as unisex clothing. However, there are forms adapted to male and female bodies.
