The band Battleaxe was founded at the beginning of 1981. After a short period of time, the label Guardian Records became aware of the band. Recordings for a compilation followed.
Moreover the band contributed with two songs to the compilation Roxcalbur on which also Satan and Black Rose could be heard. This attracted even more attention to the band and led to gigs on radio and TV. The band got a record contract with Music for Nations who released the debut album Burn This Town in 1983. In 1984, the band went into the studio again in order to record the second album Power from the Universe and go on an extensive UK tour together with SAXON.
This album is now re-released as 30th anniversary edition with 4 bonus tracks and a new booklet with liner notes and rare photos from 1984.
