Nevertheless, this album marks the creative highpoint of the Metal reformers around Jonathan Davis so far and also could be rated as one of the best albums in 1999. What started out successfully on "Follow the leader", is being continued on "Issues": the neat combination of curt weirdness and extraodinarily good songwriting. As a concept album, Davis offers an overview of his wracked emotions, wrapped up into songs that combine brutal violence with great refrains and heavy grooves and are embellished by different sonds and effects. Some short interludes act as supplements and that way, perfectly round off the entire picture. Although, in conversations Korn sometimes appear as a bunch of guys who are hardly capable of counting to three, the short periods in which they manage to perfect their creations just impresses. Let's hope, the definitely happening mega-success won't make Korn completely loosing their minds...
