by Matthias Mineur (July 2004) For years now the Donots perfectly serve the fun factor and never hesitated to mix their edgy punk rock with some sugary pop attitudes. That worked well not only on their records but also in their energetic live shows. The mixture was right and it also puts the new output, 'Got The Noise' into the right light. On the ten new tracks, the excellent front man leads through the programme, presents himself in best mood and spices the catchy tracks with some accessible vocal lines. 'Got The Noise' was perfectly produced by Fabio Trentini - Donots and Trentini is a well harmonising team. The band delivers straight punk rock songs with airplay qualities, Trentini wraps them into mass compatible song frocks. That's how the Donots convinced over the years and that's how 'Got The Noise', too, remains on the trail of success. Smart!
