A very powerful thing
This album is a very powerful thing. It seemed to dive into the water and emerges only at the end. The main thing is the atmosphere in the album. Listening to the album, you feel as if floating in a violent storm on the ship or flying at the enemy with a huge hammer at the ready. The atmosphere creates the perfect sound of instruments, and especially the sound of guitars. Juicy, hard and melodic at the same time losses and solo music give power and strength. Drums and bass also help in this. A growling vocalist gives the songs and epic scope. It's amazing vocals do not seem monotonous, it can be heard the rage, the agony, the appeals to anything. Album in any case not monotonous swotting, music varied and interesting, but at the same time very strong and heavy. In general, excellent, very powerful and atmospheric work. The lack of just one, but it is also a benefit: the songs are difficult to identify, but the album is very solid. All the songs are good, but all the same, I note a great epic «Victorious March», the most powerful «Without Fear», as well as «The Dragon's Flight Across the Waves» emotional conclusion and «Amon Amarth» with an intriguing introduction. These I liked the most, but other songs are very good.

A Requiem for the Post-War Dream
This album is considered the most musically faint from all creative Pink Floyd. However, this is not quite true. There is also an interesting musical discoveries, and an abundance of sound effects that enhance the realism of his hard, but the main role is played by the same text here. Roger Waters touched on in the previous album, «The Wall», deeply personal issues - in particular, the death of his father, Eric Fletcher Waters. It was the last he decided to continue and develop, to talk about a war that takes the lives of young people. Finally, it has approved the resolution of the conflict in 1982 between Britain and Argentina over the Falkland Islands. Naturally, other members of the group such a project is not satisfied, the new songs were too similar to what they are thrown out of the "walls". Gilmore was indignant and could not "understand how anyone could want to listen to again and again about Waters and his father's death." Wright had already ceased to be one of the Floyd and rested on Rhodes, experiencing at the same time also a divorce from his wife. Drummer Nick Mason, a longtime member of the closest to Roger Group, also admitted that he has ceased almost entirely to pay attention to the music. Album «The Final Cut» with the subtitle, "A Requiem for the Post-War Dream" became a solo actually Waters project to invite the cooperation of Michael Kamen (who do not know - that with the help of Metallica recorded their album in 1991, and then another, and «S & M ") as a co-producer, pianist, arranger and conductor. Gilmour and Mason have become nothing more than a session musicians. Waters did not want to make any compromises, not wanting a repeat of the film Parker. It is because of the lack of contribution from the Gilmour his melodic talent of the album turned out to be rather weak in music (fortunately, Gilmour's guitar solos are still there and added brilliance), but I still can hardly consider it a complete failure (especially in British hit- parade, he took the first place, what has happened to any "dark side of the moon" or with "The Wall").

brilliantly
In my opinion, these albums will no longer do. Listen to the album in the same breath, tune into one another, and creates the impression integrity. Most of all I have to cling to the composition - of course, Visionaire, on a par with it - Do You Dream of Me ?, its simplicity and genius fight outright.
Pops is here and does not smell. If you like - smells Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Black Sabbath and of Tiamat. It's very organic and played. As such, there is no gravity - the first two songs (in which most of guitars and "correct shock") is more atmospheric than heavy.
It is a pity that Edlund could not even come close to this his masterpiece, but only one Wildhoney he can put a monument (and even full-length).

Portion of a good Teutonic heavy metal
Two years later, after a very quite good "Mastercutor" we have the opportunity to enjoy a new portion of a good Teutonic heavy metal.
The material presented on the album, is quite expected from a group of Udo Dirkschneider. After the standard "The Bogeyman" should be a powerful thriller "Dominator", which personally I imagined echoes of classic Judas Priest. Then there is a midtempo "Black and White", for which the group has already shot a video. Well, then all is also in the spirit of UDO - powerful, high quality and solid. Generally, on the album is dominated by mid-tempo songs, among which we can come across a couple of high-speed tracks ( "Infected" and "Speed †‹†‹Demon"), two acoustic-ballad ( "Stillness of Time" and "Whispers in the Dark"), as well as a few knocks from the total number of rollicking "Devil's Rendezvous".
In general, the album, though not open new horizons, but makes a very good impression, looks stronger, at least three of his predecessors and will enjoy stable demand at that moment of the listeners who do not disdain "simple" heavy.

Breathe in CARCASS
The last work of the British before they broke up. The disc is a crazy death-compilation of unreleased early and replay things group. Musical direction - a classic of the genre Carcass. Death Metal of early and late period of indescribable mixture. At the beginning of the disc are played in the spirit of things "Swansong". Of these, the most catchy start "Edge Of Darkness", characterized midtempo rhythm and expressive angry vocals and death'n'roll "Corporate Rock Really Does Suck" is played in the best traditions Swansong - vicious thrash-death riffs with excellent growl Jeff my ears have absorbed instantly. Also here are replayed version of "Buried Dreams" and "No Love Lost". They sound more raw, although the vocal side more violently. Similarly, I can not determine when they have been rewritten, but are similar to the original version of the songs that were written for Heartwork. Another slaughter room - "Rot'n'Roll" again presented the same in the two versions (Swansong - Heartwork period as I understand it). In conclusion, the compilation presents items from the early period of the group. The most interesting of these is the "Tools Of The Trade", written during the Necroticism and fairly reminiscent of the album. As a result, I will add that perhaps not all their fans know about this collection. We strongly recommend to buy the collection, as the album does have standing material. After listening to it just like that and want to listen to all of the group's work from beginning to end. Very nice farewell album turned out, so that once again wake up and breathe in CARCASS !!!

Technical death metal European standard
The Finnish group "Sentenced" was formed in 1989 by guitarists Miika Tenkula and Sami Lopakka and drummer Vesa Ranta. Somewhat later, the team came vocalist and bassist Taneli Jarva. In this composition, and the debut album «Shadows Of The Past» was released at some small French label. I must say that the old sentenced playing death metal like a shared lifetime sentenced performing new and modern melodic doom metal. So, what is it used? There used to be powerful, very gloomy, but to my surprise, technical death metal European standard with a mandatory element in the form of terrible infernal growling. Well, the music is really drive and rhythmic, but unfortunately (or fortunately?) Is absolutely not melodic. Although, of course, I can not deny in some moments unique guitar solos and melodic death metal classic itself (not to be confused with the melodic death metal). Indeed musicians can be praised for the diversity of the material, but it is a clear focus on the brutal public can not force me to accept this material as it should be. Although sentenced still deserve respect, because it so dramatically change the style, and even become better (IMHO), and with a complete break with the past can only some individuals. As expected, the text is devoted to the theme extremely dark and evil paintings. For example, death, suffering, sorrow and pain. The recording quality is very interesting because it is a high quality, which is surprising for a first job! The album, it's worth noting, it has turned out not short - 65 minutes downhole evil death metal plunged into shock any unprepared listener. In general, listening to «Shadows Of The Past» is possible and necessary, especially for those who are interested in how it all began, but it is unlikely this opus will be a favorite of fans of the late plate Sentenced.

Old blues 50s
While many bands create something new, The Rolling Stones decided to go back and record an album of covers of old blues 50s. The album is called "Blue and Lonesome" in honor of the songs of Memphis Slim and distinctive cover with the logo of the collective. The album "Blue and Lonesome" sounds atmospheric, warm and lamp. In terms of simple aesthetics, old songs, recorded on modern equipment, can get a new life. That is what The Rolling Stones, reviving old songs. Surprisingly, The Rolling Stones so accustomed to the role of Chicago bluesmen that at least listening, I even forgot that it Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie. The album seemed to send you back in time for the back streets of Chicago with its colorful bars and a nice layer of the underworld. In the meantime, let's just enjoy the blues with the album "Blue and Lonesome".

Ideal for Motorhead album
In 1980, when Motorhead is slowly but surely moving towards the top of its glory, they turned out to be impenetrable in the sleeve trump ace. Fourth studiynik Lemmy and Co. became a real bomb. Soften the sound of the previous work, the group returned to the sound of classic albums of Overkill, ie, dirty, very heavy and smashing everything in its path guitar barrage. The disc is heard in one breath and causes an irresistible urge to click on the "Repeat". Motors composed for this CD a whole bunch of excellent songs, each of which is fully capable to charge listeners rays of positive energy. The Hammer and Hurricane Fire, Fire rush past the speed of light, leaving a whole generation the message of "how to play the song speed." In more or less mid-tempo sound some great songs. Such as vulgar zoological Love Me Like A Reptile, shaped mockery of the whole atmosphere of the Wild West Shoot You In The Back or real road anthem band (We Are) The Roadcrew. Well, about a couple of the best and most hit tracks worth mentioning separately. At the end of the album lurking The Chase Is Bettter Than The Catch, a real nostalgic boogie-rock played motors completely in the modern way. This composition twenty years absolutely deserved does not get out of the concert, and always enthusiastically accepted by the public. Well, what's going on in the hall during the performance, perhaps the most famous work of motors, the title track of this disc, I better keep silence. We'll have to search long for the song, which is a little she could compete with the power and speed of this masterpiece. Even a rather unusual text about gambling completely fell out of place. In my opinion, Ace Of Spades is the brightest song in the history of the group. Well, the album of the same name I would put immediately behind Overkill'a. This disc is only slightly loses to him in terms of unity and coherence of the compositions. But still put ten unambiguous, because even nowadays CDs with insane fervor in - one, two and miscalculated. Ideal for Motorhead album.

Сlassic death metal in all its glory
On the debut album of the cult band from California, published in 1989, we presented a classic death metal in all its glory. I must say, sing Chris Reyferta get no worse than knock in any case, better than the Schuldiner. Already on the first album, Chris gives a very lively and varied vocals. As for the tools of the game can be said about the same thing: rhythm guitar - above all praise, excellent guitar solos. But on the part of the hits and melodies, there is nothing special. However, on the album there are lots of great riffs, but the next two albums in this respect is clearly better. The speed and severity of the band's music reminds DEATH, but differs from the add distinctive style of performance and style. However, here the future of their corporate identity with "immoral, disgusting 'vocals had not yet taken shape until the end. As the album has an original sound with bass, standing out in the foreground, perhaps even more than you need. Although this powerful soft rough sound is very pleasing to the ear - the uterine low, ringing like a bell. But the drums are recorded, in my opinion, is clearly not enough ...
The whole album is a great debut. Especially for 1989, when the presence of such high-quality albums in this style can boast of very few. In my opinion, among all that were issued in 1989 AUTOPSY's debut, second only to "Slowly we rot" OBITUARY.

Wow!
Wow! Sorry for emotions, but this album just explodes emotions. This is perhaps one of the most diverse album of the group. There really is everything your heart desires. This work is really different from the previous ones, but in any case, not for the worse. I'm not saying that the previously released albums were bad, they are also my favorite. The simple reason is that this album is just different and all. It's like Ferrari and Porsche, two luxury cars, and I like both, but they are just different and none is inferior to the other. I hope that is not too confusing. Back to diversity, songs such as "I Can", talking about the good old Helloween. Completely in the style of "I Want Out", and that's fine. But works such as "Time" - it is something new and hitherto not known in the work of this group. As for me, I with great pleasure plunged into this unknown. If we talk about Andi Deris'a, I can say that with his arrival the band became really different from the era Michael'ya Kiske, but again, in any case not for the worse. He made a lot of new and interesting things in the work group. The sound became tougher, but has not lost melody. Summarizing the above, I can say that we have a very interesting and very high quality album that always takes my collection worthy place. And believe me, it is not covered with dust!
