Ozzy Osbourne Albums: A journey through the musical world of the Prince of Darkness
The death of Ozzy Osbourne has left an indelible mark on the world of rock. What is certain, however, is that the Godfather of Metal left behind a true treasure trove of albums - some ahead of their time - that continue to shape music to this day. For many, Ozzy remains one of the most important figures in metal history.
To properly celebrate his work, our online shop offers a wide selection of Ozzy Osbourne albums. Whether you’re drawn to his early career or want to secure the album Patient Number 9, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for. And who knows? You might even discover a record you hadn’t considered before.
“Blizzard of Ozz”: The beginning of a legendary solo career
Blizzard of Ozz was the first solo album of Ozzy’s career. It launched his world tours and introduced him to an ever-widening audience. By this point, many fans not only associated him with incredible music but also with a unique and eccentric persona - one that the Prince of Darkness would continue to refine in the years to come.
To this day, many fans agree that Blizzard of Ozz is an essential album for any devoted rock collector’s shelf.
The 1990s kick off with “No More Tears”
In the early 1990s, Ozzy released No More Tears. By this time, the artist had turned away from alcohol and drugs, presenting a much fitter and more stable version of himself than in some parts of the 1980s. Multiple singles were released from the album, accompanied by music videos, and the tour supporting it was appropriately titled No More Tours.
“Ozzmosis” and "Retirement Sucks"
Shortly after winning a Grammy for I Don't Want to Change the World (Best Metal Performance), Ozzmosis marked another milestone in Ozzy’s career. He made it clear on his ‘Retirement Sucks’ tour that there was still plenty more to come. Even with line-up changes, the music never lost its signature edge.
Collaborations on “Patient Number 9”
Ozzy has proven time and again that he thrives on collaboration, and his 13th solo album is no exception. Big names like Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton feature throughout, but that’s just part of why Patient Number 9 was so widely acclaimed.
Even in the face of illness, Ozzy delivered exactly what fans were hoping for: raw, powerful rock with an honest, unforgettable message.
