Since the 1950s at the latest, the midi dress has become an integral part of the wardrobe. These knee-length dresses captivate with their versatility and diverse cuts and designs. There are typical, fairly wide and light summer dresses that emphasize a particularly relaxed style. Next to these are tight-fitting, elegantly cut dresses that are not out of place at a wedding and other festive occasions.
Midi dresses are of course still available with petticoats in a traditional style. But in more modern times, variations such as a destroyed look and urban chic were added. These go perfectly with the individualistic and exciting style of rock, indie and punk. Either way, the knee-length dress is here to stay - and that's a good thing, because hardly any other dress is so well suited as a basis for numerous outfits whilst also being so comfortable to wear.
Womens Midi Dresses: The right choice for every occasion
Whether in the office, at school or university, in the club, at concerts and festivals, or at a festive reception, you are always well equipped with the right midi dress. Bandeau dresses, for example, look as elegant as they are attractive and emphasize the figure in a subtle and stylish manner. They stand for themselves even without large accessories and are a good choice for formal occasions. Casual models such as airy sun dresses can be easily combined with bolero, leggings or a shirt. Classically cut, restrained midi dress designs are in turn very well suited to being worn with a denim jacket or similar. And the classic, widely exhibited models in a rock 'n roll style are best enriched with matching accessories - such as hair bows and unusual hairstyles adapted from the times.
But if you like your look to be a little harder, rocker style midi dresses are for you. They fit well with studded bracelets or even a leather jacket when it gets cooler. Friends of classic elegance in a Gothic style also like to opt for a dress that is cut to the knee if conventional long dresses would be too expensive, warm or impractical. One way or the other, of course: style is what you make of it with a midi-dress!
