A horde of more or less paunchy blokes in jeans vests, tattooed more or less professionally, destroy a bunch of kitschy singles. Obviously, these are the V8 Wixxxer! Aah, okay: it’s our Rock’n’Roll friends V8 Wankers who cover themselves without reason - "Ohne Grund" (the CD title) means "without reason" in German. They have re-recorded 13 of their biggest hits, or, harrumph, of their songs, in German. Well, the German lyrics add a totally different dimension to the cool English originals - suddenly songs have titles like "Eier aus Stahl", "Autobahn Arschloch" and "Rock auf meinem Schoß": poetry par excellence! "Ohne Grund" is a great party CD - have ten beers and play it somewhere between Zeltinger Band, J.B.O. and BΓΆhse Onkelz.
