I didn't expect this of Maroon, to be honest. I wouldn't have thought that they would be so variable. Fortunately I was proven wrong, because โ€œWhen worlds collideโ€œ bursts for ideas and different musical influences. The opener, โ€œ24 hour hateโ€œ waltzes you down with its permanent double bass and murderer solos. Also the ensuing songs are amazing. You can feel that Maroon tried new things to create a sound that doesn't shrink back for keyboards ร  la Bleeding Trough but still rocks like hell and doesn't forget mosh parts and gang shouts. After all, โ€œWhen worlds collideโ€œ should be one of the highlights in metal core 2006.
