by Markus Eck (12.08.2009) Once again, these stalwart gleemen present us with pure Mediaeval Rock. No experiments, no electronic stuff - these new upbeat songs, too, are enjoyable representatives of their genre, the well-known bag pipes sounding merrily in many of the catchy tunes. Saltatio Mortis still have the playfulness of heir early days - and fortunately, on "Wer Wind sät", they sound as you expect it from your favourite band: fresh and dynamic. The new sophisticated tracks are based on heavy electric guitar sounds and versatile drumworks, and humble Alea adds to it by singing about the facts of life - the lyrics often spiced with sarcasm and irony, as is typical of Saltatio Mortis.
