by Andreas Reissnauer (02.03.2010) Dark Tranquillity is one of the few bands which just never disappoint you! One of the reasons for that is their slightly, yet constantly growing musical portfolio, but Mikael Stanne & Co. are also excellent songwriters with a seemingly ever-flowing stream of ideas. On "We are the void", the Gothenburg six present us with eleven brand-new, classy Melodic Death gems. Great guitar and keyboard melody lines, the songs are catchy, but not too simple, and there's also a lot of ear candy for the next tours at hand. Plus - a nice surprise: the doomy, epic, unique last track "Iridium" is one of the highlights on this opus. Very nice indeed!
