"Was kost die Welt" CD by Versengold

Successor edition in jewel case.

With 'What does the world cost,' VERSENGOLD announces their tenth studio album, to showcase their unwavering desire to play and their unbroken optimism even after the pandemic. In true Versengold fashion, the band makes reference to one of the dominant themes of the present in the album title – the human interaction with the limited resources of this world. The 6-member band seamlessly continues their success with 'Nordlicht' from 2019. The top-5 album, which caused a stir in 2019 with the hit 'Thekenmädchen,' re-entered the top 10 of the German album charts in the crisis-plagued year of 2020 with the second edition 'Märchen von Morgen'. 'Thekenmädchen' has received over 11 million views on YouTube and continues to enjoy great popularity. With 'What does the world cost,' another chapter will be added to this success story with its release on January 28, 2022. As the title already suggests, fans can look forward to critical side jabs, presented with the wit, biting irony, and lyrical depth known from lead singer Malte Hoyer. Once again, the listener can expect catchy, atmospheric songs that fully unfold their impact in the earthy folk sound of the band. From contemplative ballads, pop interludes, and rock anthems to playful celebration songs, Versengold covers the entire spectrum of German-language folk rock with playful ease.
