After the surprising success of their debut the guys from Berlin continue their path. The follower sounds more mature and better since the arrangements are more fluent and the ensemble playing functions a lot better. The guys always had a flair for good melodies (just listen to "Merseburger Zaubersprüche" or "Herr Mannelig"). "Dödet" on the other hand sounds a little bizarre at first but you'll get used to that after a couple of contacts. Same for "Spielmannsfluch" and "Weiberfell". You're plainly offered a lot of contrasts on this album. A very essential album. Seldomly a folk meets metal fusion sounded as good!
