by Markus Wosgien (05.10.2006) The 15-track compilation "Uneasy listening" contains remixes and acoustic versions of the best ballads in the history of HIM. The tracklist was compiled by Ville Valo himself. Some of the versions have been released on single B-sides, like the great unplugged version of "It's all tears" and the acoustic "The funeral of hearts", which in this form is even more intense than the original. You soon begin to rhapsodise and get into a romantic mood with songs like "The sacrament", "In joy and sorrow" and "When love and death embrace". Completely new and previously unreleased are the interpretations of "Join me (in death)", "Close to the flame", "One last time", "The path" and "Lose you tonight". Since Ville and his friends have provided the remixes themselves, all songs still sound very authentic and represent a great enrichment. Next spring, part 2 is supposed to follow with the rocky and heavier side of the Finns.
