After its release, "Ultra" made clear that Depeche Mode definitely are not at the end of their tether. Even though core Member Alan Wilder left the band, Martin Gore, David Gahan and Alan Fletcher were ranked No. 5 of Billboard 200 with "Ultra"; supported by the singles "Barrel of a Gun", "It's No Good" and "Home". After David Gahan recovered from his near fatal overdose, he sang like there was no tomorrow. With "Ultra" Depeche Mode proved that they knew how to deal with adverse circumstances.
