by Lisa Hofer (29.10.2008) The elf kings hailing from beautiful Pordenone must have quaffed many horns of met before they came up with this wonderful idea for the title of this album… And that paid off: the CD is an emotional trip to Folklore land which is not bad for the songs. You won’t find any dark elements as on the predecessor "The scythe" - this output has a much more positive aura. More mature and more relaxed than anything composed by the Italians before, this album with the incredibly long name wows you with catchy songs like "Another awful hobs tale", and the atmospheric "My own spider’s web". Amusing and at the same time brilliant: the cover version of "Heaven is a place on earth" - and the acoustical versions of the Elvenking smashers "The winter wake" and "The wanderer" also do work out. This will leave you staring dreamily into the flickering light of an ingle…
