by Julius Müller (09/03) Another shining star on the Nu Grunge sky??? You most certainly bet! This party of four from Loa Gatos, California which has been touring the country for quite some time is still waiting for the big leap. Well, time has come today! The debut is a well-structured, convincing piece of contemporary guitar rock culture with sophisticated arrangements, good compositions and enough steam to get your groove on. For one thing, this is because of their exceptional qualities as a live band and for another, because the album preserves these qualities. It does sound a bit more in balance and rounded-off but instead the eruptiveness gets lost a bit. Thanks to Ggggarth fantastic production the album is brute and powerful. But the center of attention is certainly focused on the songs which are - without a doubt - remarkable.
