by Markus Wosgien (23.01.2008) Sixteen years have passed since the highly acclaimed Fight debut, "War of words". It was the first solo project of Judas Priest-frontman, Rob Halford who had the intention to create a modern Metal album in the likes of Pantera. The first demos were recorded – and can be found on this re-release, too. In times, they were rougher and rawer than the end result, and yet, in most cases, equally great. Tracks, like the heavy opener, "Into the pit", the groove-waltz, "War of words" or the mega song, "Kill it" were and still are musical revelations. Some of the songs of this period have never been released and are now being featured for the first time, such as the midtempo-hymn, "Now you die", the slow "Down" or the crazy "Beast denies". A total of 16 songs, produced by the Metal god himself.
