by Christian Albers (12.08.2009) Strange - this type of band always falls on my side of the desk... Anyway - I've been blabbing on about the record for almost two months, so it's more than ok., I guess. Where to start? For me, this is the best genre release of the year so far. When their last one, "The bright eyes of America", came out, I thought that the Flag have reached their climax - but with "The people or the gun" they even top this off! Songs like "The economy is suffering - let it die" or "The gre(a)t depression" (among others, Tim McIllrath of Rise Against makes a guest appearance on this one) are just great catchy songs forcing you to dance along. Essential stuff.
