The new super group Amaranthe from GΓΆteborg has everything a newcomer needs. What had already perfectly worked out on their debut album "Amaranthe" works of course just as well with album no. 2 "The Nexus" by the Danish/Swedish band. Much Melodic Death Metal, a good portion of Power Metal including Keyboards, a touch of Metalcore, catchy Pop refrains like hardly any other band manages to perform, the distinctive three-voice vocals (growls, clean + female vocalist) and a plenty of staccato riffs ensuring a nice groove.
