These Israelis always took their time as far as album releases were concerned - but artists of that kind of genre do face a lot of difficulties in Israel, so often, Orphaned Land were kept back by that. Fortunately, they have never given up though. They started in 1991, their debut "Sahara" was released three years later, followed in 1996 by "El norra alila" - it took them until 2004 to deliver "Mabool". Almost six more years later Orphaned Land make all the sophisticated aesthetes with a penchant for folklore sounds among the Dark Metal community very happy. "Mabool" was already a real sound feast for these fans - now, the intellectual oriental philosophers, artists and musicians have come up with even more ear candy. They are undoubtedly on top of their game with their compositions now - Orphaned Land surprise and intoxicate you with a variety of instruments... Beautiful.
