by Holger (null) It's been two years since the debut of an (at the time) unknown band from Oakland, named Machine Head turned into a egaseller from one day to the other. In no time they overran the metal league and kicked Pantera & Co. of the throne. "The more things change..." is their second longplayer and according to the band this is supposed to be the heavist album on earth (boy, eh!) and some of the songs are that hard that the listener should already grab the rope Γ¬ before listening to the tracks (cool, eh!). Okay, the album is cool, but why the hell do they have to brag like 8-th-grade-teenagers...get the guys back to earth, please! The songs are rather slow but never lack aggression and energy. In order to get a clear picture of the sound take Sepultura's power and combine it with Korn's groove. That'll do! Machine Head rogressed quite a lot, especially metal midget Rob offers some great clean vocalparts with cool melodies. As expected, 10 times dynamite!
