Dismember rumble on through the eleven new songs even fresher and heavier than we were used to by “Where ironcrosses grow”, driven forward by the early Stockholm based death metal sound even more than Unleashed or Grave. The additional Iron Maiden influences that we have come to know at the latest since “Collection by blood“ are now crossed with some Mercyful Fate genes in the instrumental track, “Phantoms (of the oath)“ and literally shine a melodic light in the closing hell's inferno”Where no ghost is holy“. And I don't have to further point out which source of inspiration led the guys to “Autopsy“. “Trail of the dead“, “Shadows of the mutilated“ and whatever they are called, they all are reference songs in terms of uncompromising heaviness, at the same time the solos have never shone so beautifully by the Swedes. In an ever changing world, Dismember remain a reliable constant.
