    End of the road

by Manuela Liefländer (April 2005) So, there it is, the new and at the same time last Sentenced album. The general picture almost seems as if the Finns would have given even more than ever. It's the most homogeneous album in their career. Sami & Co. Were even realy inventive. In order to modernise their sound they not only brought in a children's choir but also all sorts of Household utensils such as scissors, zippers and spoons. Are the guys preparing for their time at home? Would be a pity, though because so far there hasn't been any band that managed to interpret the Finnish mentality so sarcastically. Especially not in such a gruesome beautiful sound. But "The Funeral Album" is more than that. After all, the guys have gone to their limits and revealed their personal secrets. Of course, embedded in filigree rock, metal and gothic compositions. And there would be no way to top this album, anyway. (Manuela LieflΓ€nder - April 2005)
