With the release of "The final frontier", Iron Maiden follow the path they have chosen on "A matter of life and death" β and consequently so. The British Metal legend presents us with ten mostly extra long, progressive songs sounding a bit chunky and not too catchy at the first try β but the more often you listen to the new opus, the more it gains momentum. The days of short and easy smashers β over. Instead, youβll get epic and musically sophisticated material brimming with references to the bandβs history, their rich back catalogue. The highlight of the album: straight and typical "The talisman", spiced with folklore elements β this one will surely find its way to the live set list of Iron Maiden very soon... Also meeting fan expectations all over the world: fast and simple "The alchemist", "Mother of mercyβ, and "Coming home". A really daring album by a legend that doesnβt need to prove anything to anybody anymore. Up The Irons!!!
