A dramatic and emotional, melodic Death Metal opus, which tells about the battle and the history of Leningrad during the second world war, in shape of a diary with true background. For fans of the early In Flames and Dar Tranquility, combined with the pathos and the disposedness to symphonic sounds of the brand Rhapsody.

    The farewell song

by Markus Wosgien (29.09.2006) Their third album "The diarist" completely deals with the battle and the history of Leningrad in the second world war. A diary written by that time served as a model for this really deeply emotional and fascinating concept. Hope shines through as well as despair and grieve and the music really manages to touch you. Musically, the Italians wander between the poles of Melodic Death Metal and melancholic Gothic Metal sounds. They use samples and rush through the most different songs. A main source of inspiration should have especially been the early Dark Tranquility and In Flames. This is added by a lot of pathos and the liking of drama as we know and love it by their country fellows of Rhapsody. All together, this is a well done and very tasty album. "The diarist" is an album for lovers, for the Death Metal fan with style.
