The Dead Daisies are made up of the musicians Jon Stevens (INXS) and David Lowy. For their tour and their debut album, they picked the finest musicians, such as Richard Fortus (Guns N' Roses), Dizzy Reed (Guns N' Roses), Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy), Charley Drayton (The Cult), John Tempesta (The Cult), Brian Tichy (Whitesnake), and Frank Ferrer (Guns N' Roses). For the single "Lock 'N' Load", they even collaborated with Slash. The sound of The Dead Daisies resembles the hard rock and heavy metal of the early 80s. For example, Bad Company and Foreigner come to mind. Besides many rough guitar riffs, the album features many extensive choruses. There is a reason they have already played as the opening act for Jimmy Barnes, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kiss, and Def Leppard.
