First appearing in 1992, the concept album 'The Crimson Idol' by W.A.S.P. is now being re-released. It tells the story of the famous rockstar Jonathan, who was always his parents' least favourite. Leaving home, he heads to the big city to try his luck. He manages to become a globally celebrated star and lives the rocker life β women, drugs, alcohol, fast cars β but he isn't happy. In the end, he realises that he doesn't really care about anything that he's achieved and that he won't ever get the one thing that matters to him: the love and appreciation of his parents.
