IDLES, hailing from Bristol (UK), announced today their upcoming fifth Album TANGK. TANGK, the 11-track follow-up to their Grammy-nominated Album CRAWLER, was co-produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, The Smile, Beck), Mark Bowen, Kenny Beats (Denzel Curry, Vince Staples, Benee), and the band themselves. TANGK - pronounced 'Tank' with a touch of 'g' and a soundplay alluding to the blistering guitar sound the band envisioned as a sort of seal for life in love - is the band's most ambitious and impressive Album to date.

IDLES are one of the strongest Rock bands of the last decade. Godrich, Beats, and Bowen proved to be an excellent team for IDLES, pushing them into new territory and reining them in when necessary. TANGK is both expansive and focused, imaginative and immediate. Regarding the Album, singer Joe Talbot says, 'TANGK. I needed love. So I made it. I gave love to the world and it feels like magic. This is our Album of gratitude and strength. All love songs. Everything is love.'

Where once IDLES aimed to mock the world, defy the perpetually outdated, and exorcise personal traumas in real time, they have arrived in this new act to offer the fruits of such persistence: love, joy, and genuine gratitude for the mere possibility of existence. This music thrives not in spite of our problems, but because of them. If we don't take care of ourselves and each other, TANGK seems to shout in one tremendous hook after another, then who will?
