by Oliver Kube (20.11.2007) So far, there has been little note in Europe upon the formation Bobaflex, formed in 1998 and lead by the both guitar-playing and singing brothers, Shaun and Marty McCoy. Yet, that should be changing with the release of this great album featuring remarkable music for all fans of edgy Metal and Rock. After the atmospheric intro, the U.S. guys from the beautiful Point Pleasant powerfully kick off with "Sellout". Also in the further course of the 45-minute journey, like e.g. in the bull-like "Goodbye" and the nervous, pulsative "Need a drink", the powerful grooves and cutting guitars often remind me of the mercilessly driving forward sound of colleagues, like Sevendust and Disturbed. Personably enough, the quintet incorporates some harmonic breaks. Best examples for the fact that these guys really know how to perfectly combine melody and power are the radio-friendly hymns, "Born again" and "I still believe", as well as the power-ballad, "Satisfied".
