Strange (1988) and Strange Too (1990), previously available as individual titles on VHS format and Laserdisc, are compilations of the provocative and visionary short films by master photographer/director Anton Corbijn. These were created in collaboration with Depeche Mode to create a new visual iconography for the band and their music.
Strange/Strange Too is available for the first time in DVD and Blu-ray configurations, presenting 11 music films by Anton Corbijn/Depeche Mode, newly restored from original Super-8mm sources, along with six previously unreleased outtake vignettes from the DM archives. In compiling the final cuts for Strange and Strange Too, Corbijn created a sequence where the individual music videos can be perceived as a cohesive film, including additional interstitial sequences not seen in the original clips.
The Strange/Strange Too DVD and Blu-ray configurations are available in a Digipack with a 16-page concertina booklet featuring photos and new liner notes by Anton Corbijn.
