"Sonic Mojo" CD by Foghat
Article description
From the first notes of their self-titled classic from 1972, to their bombastic multi-platinum jewel 'Foghat Live' (1977), and the slide guitar-infused 'Under The Influence' from 2016, FOGHAT has always been about the music. Music that is played loudly. Music that is played live. Music that gets you moving.
Three of the songs on 'Sonic Mojo' hold a special significance for Roger Earl, as they were written together with Kim Simmonds, the man who helped Roger achieve breakthrough success as a member of Savoy Brown in 1967. Sadly, Kim passed away shortly after writing these songs in December 2022.
On their new album, FOGHAT also pay tribute to legendary artists who came before them, with some great cover versions of songs by the likes of Willie Dixon, B.B. King, and Chuck Berry.
