The new album "Songs Of Innocence" is U2βs,so far, most personal work an unites all era's of the band from 70's rock and punk rock to the electro and ambient sound of the early 80's. Itβs about topics such as homeland and family, relationships and discoveries and was recorded in Dublin, London, New York and Los Angeles. "Songs Of Innocence" was produced by Danger Mouse, Paul Epworth, Ryan Tedder, Declan Gaffney and Flood. The first single "The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)" is about Ramoneβs frontman Joey Ramone, who died in 2001. Bono and Joey did not only admire each others music, but also had been good friends.
