by Tuomas Valtanen (19.09.2007) Epic, Grunge-inspired Alternative-Rock in the likes of the mid-90s is the genre Day Eleven from Tampere in the south of Finland move in. Without the exaggerated pathos of Creed and alike, the band delivers ten melodic, catchy, and emotionally touching ear candies, such as "Message", "Whenever you say you love me", and "Untitled". Beside the variety of the arrangements both in terms of pace and heaviness, the vocals Janne Aleksi Pajari that often remind me positively of Ville Valo from HIM are the biggest ace of the quintet. Charismatic but never obtrusive, he adds the compositions a very special, melancholic, and yet, powerful note. And the man does not only convince in the epics, such as "If nothing comes of you" and "Coma", but also in the rockier songs, like "Dissonance fading" and the atmospheric, almost 7-minute long closing ballad, "Simply lethal".
