by Markus Wosgien (29.03.2010) With their uncompromising mixture of Thrash and Death Metal, the Dutch Legion Of The Damned dominated many festival stages, always leaving a lot of enthusiastic fans in their wake. With four great albums as a back catalogue, Maurice Swinkels and his boys had an exciting and merciless live set for last year's European tour at hand... This two DVD pack features more than five hours of total playing time, including the complete "Summer Breeze" gig, and recordings of the "Thrash Assault" and the legendary "Party.san" performance of 2008. The sound on all three shows is brilliantly brutal, the footage totally authentic - you get the impression that you are directly in front of the stage. The set-list leaves nothing to be desired - classics such as "Legion Of The Damned", "Cult of the dead" or "Pray and suffer" are cherished evergreens. The abundant bonus material contains all four video clips the band has done so far and older live clips, and the nice DVD box also has a bonus live CD in its belly.
