He is well-known for being a member of successful, popular Canadian Rock band Heart: he was their guitar player for 22 years. Since 1998, Leese, who is also an avid keyboardist, joined the band of Paul Rodgers. And now, this seasoned veteran releases his first solo album "Secret weapon" containing timeless Rock leaning a bit to the Blues side. As is almost mandatory for such an opus, this very mature material is topped off by guest appearances of famous fellow musicians: Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple), Paul Rodgers (Free, Bad Company), Jimi Jamison (ex-Survivor), and even ELP's Keith Emerson helped out their good old friend Howard. The songs on this classy album quote many genre greats, so that you feel reminded of, say, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Paul Kossoff, Bad Company and even Jimi Hendrix very often. Enjoyable stuff for the aficionado of the classic direction.
