by Olaf Plotke (27.06.2007) In the 80s, they belonged to the underground, today they are cult and make music together: Bobby "Blitz" Elsworth of Overkill and Dan Lorenzo of Hades. Under the name The Cursed the two now recorded an absolutely fantastic album. It's none of those "now we do as crazy music as we've always wanted to do-records, but an album that combines the best of both worlds of the protagonists' main bands. "Room full of sinners" is greatly old school: straight songs, pumping rhythms, killer drumming and above all that the ingenious voice of Bobby Blitz. He sings as good as you can imagine, brings across the deep passages as well as the high, almost screaming ones. The material is very heavy and powerful - no ballads in sight. One thing became clear to me: this is a bunch of ambitious pros who like to put a lot of emotion into their music - no matter if it's predominantly heavy. It's always honest. A great album!
