In March 2011, Japan was struck by a massive earthquake, followed by a monstrous tsunami and a nuclear disaster at the Fukushima nuclear power plant. In the fall of the same year, despite previous warnings, Aerosmith brought their 'Back On The Road' tour to Japan, a country to which the band had always had a special connection. Japanese fans flocked to these concerts, and Aerosmith rewarded them with some of the best shows of their long career. This film accompanies the band during this concert tour, combining footage of complete live songs such as 'Love In An Elevator,' 'Livin' On The Edge,' 'Last Child,' 'Walk This Way,' 'Draw The Line,' 'Sweet Emotion,' and 'Hangman Jury,' with behind-the-scenes insights that range from emotional and touching to humorous and empathetic. More than anything before, 'Rock For The Rising Sun' documents the close relationship between Japanese fans and Aerosmith and their music. As bonus tracks, there are the songs 'Lick And A Promise' and 'One Way Street.'
