OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100
If a textile item is awarded the STANDARD 100 label, you can be sure that all the components of the item, including all threads, buttons and other accessories have been checked for harmful substances and the item is therefore completely safe for use. The tests are carried out by our independent OEKO-TEX^®^ institutes, based on our extensive OEKO-TEX^®^ criteria. The test procedure takes into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances that could harm human health. The value limits set by the STANDARD 100 often go beyond national and international requirements.
EMP Sustainable Production
This EMP certification means that we have seals, certificates or factory audits which confirm the application of sustainable production standards. This means adherence to social standards, worker protection and the security regulations in the production country. We believe that sustainable production helps to preserve the natural foundations of life for the next generation.
EMP Recycled Material
This EMP certification shows you that recycled materials were used to produce this product. Various materials may be recycled for use in these products, such as paper, old bottles, textiles, filbres or plastic which are considered as 'rubbish' up to the point of use in the product. The term 'recycling' for us also includes 'reuse' or 'upcycling'.
EMP Organic Cotton
Organic Cotton certification guarantees the ecological cultivation of the fibre.Organic cotton is produced and harvested according to the guidelines of organic farming. The use ofgenetically modified seeds is prohibited. In contrast to conventional cotton cultivation, the use of chemical pesticides and fertilisers is prohibited. To maintain and improve natural soil fertility, manure and compost are used. To keep insects away, the fields are moved with other plants to keep the pests away. For example, sunflowers are planted around the cotton fields in West Africa. These attract pests such as the cotton capsule beetle and thus prevent infestation of the cotton plants. In addition, the farmers practice crop rotation. This means that cotton is grown in alternation with other crops such as tomatoes or peppers, etc. This also serves to care for the soil and prevents the spread of pests and diseases.
