The story between Volbeat and their German fans is filled with deep, loud Rock 'n' roll love. Now it's time to say thank you to the 'Rebels & Angels,' as the four musicians call their fans. For that reason, the band recorded this live Album during the 'Rewind, Replay, Rebound World Tour' at the end of 2019 in several German cities.

Since the group started making waves in the international music scene, Germany has been prominently featured on their Tour schedule. In the beginning, the musicians would travel thousands of kilometers in a van, rolling from Copenhagen to Flensburg, from Ludwigsburg to Leipzig, and from Düsseldorf to Dresden. Small clubs quickly turned into big ones, and then the largest venues in the country. Michael Poulsen and his team went from being a well-kept secret to headliners. 'Germany became our second home back then,' says the guitarist, singer, and songwriter. 'Our music was incredibly well-received by the audience, and suddenly we had a huge fan base.'

The Danes made their debut in Germany on June 4, 2006, at the Rock Hard Festival in Gelsenkirchen, and they delivered their first headlining show on September 1, 2006, at the Headbanger's Ballroom in Hamburg. The band Toured extensively and played more shows in Germany than in the rest of Europe (excluding Scandinavia). 'We had a lot of fun and a devilish hangover more than once,' Poulsen recalls. The rest, as they say, is history: international Tours, number one Albums, shows with AC/DC and Metallica, rising to the premier league. If Rock 'n' roll were truly dead, Volbeat would be damn successful zombies.

After 'Rewind, Replay, Rebound' shot back to the top of the charts in the summer of 2019, the quartet performed in arenas in Berlin, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Munich, and Leipzig, and even twice in Hamburg and Cologne. They put on a massive Rock show, with a huge stage, spectacular light show, and moving video screens. The days when a few Danish buddies would throw their guitars in a van are long gone: in 2019, the production filled a whopping 17 trucks and employed an 85-person crew from 13 countries.

On the Tour, Michael Poulsen, Jon Larsen, Rob Caggiano, and Kaspar Boye Larsen fired off songs from all their Albums to the crowd - old favorites, established classics, and new earworms. 'Every song is fun with a great audience,' says the frontman. 'There was an incredible atmosphere at all these shows.' And you can hear it: thousands of fans and four Danish-American Rockers celebrate their music every night. Poulsen promises, 'Keep listening to Volbeat.
