by Björn Thorsten Jaschinski (27.09.2007) The Swedes are a typical example for a second hand band: The name Tyrant has been used by many bands in the last 30 years of Metal history. Even in Sweden β now called The Legion. In 1978, a formation of this band was formed in Pasadena releasing two first-class Horror Metal records in the 80s, the later released third album was crap. From that band, this Swedish trio cheekily stole the logo β with the difference that the two cross-like T's were turned around. No wonder: the musicians come from such illustrious bands, like The Black (alongside Dissection an early place of action of Jon NΓΆdtveidt) and Vinterland, whose debut is an expensive, sought-after rarity and due to be re-released soon. In the same, brazen way, the musicians also copy their music from others β especially from the very early underground Thrash Bands with antichrist lyrics. That is something the Norwegian InfernΓΆ, Aura Noir and especially Nocturnal Breed have done a lot better ten years ago β if not as sharp and primitively. Only for Turbo-Thrashers!
