The Swedish band MARDUK, founded in 1990, is not only one of the oldest and most respected black metal bands of all time, but also one of the most productive. Even after fourteen albums in their proud career, the quartet has never delivered a weak album and has never deviated from their path of absolute blasphemy and misanthropic contempt. In 2020, Century Media Records and the band reissued several coveted titles from their extensive catalog: 'Plague Angel' from 2004 was the first release with current vocalist Mortuus (Funeral Mist, Triumphator), who played a crucial role in the revival of MARDUK after the departure of former vocalist Legion. He brought a new level of vocal and lyrical intensity, as well as a chilling stage presence, and catapulted the group to new heights. In addition to 'Plague Angel,' the albums 'Rom 5:12' (2007) and 'Wormwood' (2009) were also reissued on CD in 2020.
