10.Say goodbye
by Sonja Angerer (29.01.2009) So much for waiting... This Finnish Goth band delivers album number six. And the waiting has paid off, not only for the die-hard fans! The first radio single "Strife" is a veritable smasher, maybe at bit unwieldy at first, but after a while, you really get hooked. The simple "Lost in my denial" with its soulful intro is very catchy, and youβll warm to "Dying moon" with its anthemic touch pretty soon. "Greed of mankind", epic, rough, and versatile, is one of the strongest tracks on this release, whereas the opener "Soul sacrifice" captivates you with the violin sound. "Hollow" needs the contrast between calm verse and Speed Metal interlude, but there are also some romantic moments: "Say goodbye", the last track, is a smooth, but not cheesy ballad. "Painstained" is the famous and significant step forward for Entwine - without losing their roots.
