by Markus Eck (22.02.2010) Since their first days in 1996, this German Black Metal band has gone through a lot, including various line up changes. Some years, and some demos, later, "Opus diaboli", their really intense debut album, is available, brimming with symphonic, atmospheric (and often old school) Black Metal. Sometimes, you feel reminded of the dark and early days of then genre kings Dimmu Borgir, but there's also extremely aggressive stuff. Usually, Sado Sathanas tend to hover between those aformentioned poles. The dark compositions are spiced with a high degree of tragic, dramatic melancholy, the arrangements stressing the epic atmosphere even more.
