    Roads To Madness

by Matthias Mineur (null) It was in 1988, when the Seattle-based Progmetal-band Queensryche released their "Operation mindcrime" milestone. That was the beginning of the great success of the band around Geoff Tate. And Queensryche had more to offer: on the following tour, they performed the complete concept-album, followed by the "Operation livecrime" video/CD-box-release in 1991, including the complete breathtaking show. These recordings are now, almost exactly 10 years later, re-released, and they haven't lost anything of their magic. Still, goose-flesh is coming up when Queensryche perform with "Breaking the silence", "I don't believe in love" and "Eyes of a stranger" the probably best finale of a Progrock-album ever. The new release contains two bonus-tracks, namely "The lady wore black" and "Roads to madness", also recorded in 1991. Result: A great release of an overwhelming record!
