The rough Onkelz classic 'Onkelz wie wir' has been completely re-recorded and recorded for its 20th anniversary. With the re-recording, the Frankfurt-based band masters a balancing act that arises from two different motivations: On the one hand, the band has been engaged in a legal tug-of-war over the rights to this album for over a decade, and on the other hand, the Böhsen Onkelz also felt a genuine need to give the record a more contemporary sound. Mission successfully accomplished!

It's been some time that the Onkelz had planned a re-release of this masterpiece, now, for the twentieth anniversary of the classic they have finally fulfilled their ideas. All original compositions have been re-recorded – with all carefulness and, of course, all love for the old originals. So, on "Onkelz wie wir 2007", e.g., the immensely popular German Rock kings stayed as close to their own parameters as possible – but with the new recording techniques, the Onkelz-hymns can be presented in much better sounds. The outer appearance was consciously kept simple because it was mainly the music that counted. And that hasn't lost anything of its attraction after all these years and permanent new, crazy music trends.
