by Matthias Mineur (07/02) The discography of the Metalband Iced Earth from Tampa/Florida is packed with cult albums. Therefore, their record company Century Media decided to re-release some of their earlier works and spice 'em up with some extra treats. The most important album in this re-release collection is the '91 John Greely-debut "Night of the stormrider". Though only shortly band member and despised by the fans Greely sung pretty impressively but was fired a couple of years later. What a shame, since the band hasn't been as impetuous and inventive ever since. The good news: the 2002 version of "Night of the stormrider" is remixed, remastered, features bonus material and a new cover artwork. Overall, a new version which fans as well as newcomers need to check out. (Matthias Mineur)
