After the death of founding member Somnium, the future of Finntroll's was uncertain. But the guys from Helsinki have gathered their strengths and with "Nattfödd" probably delivered their best album ever. The sound of the band is still the same, the Finns still experiment with elements of Folk, Humppa and Black Metal. An unwanted comedy of this music can't be denied, but a good mood is guaranteed with these banging-compatible rhythms and you immediately want to open a bottle of beer (or a met). Sad, melancholic people may be a bit distracted by this happy sound but all others are welcomed to experience another Finnish high voltage Humppa-party. Exceptional! (Andreas Reissnauer - April 2004)
