Coldplay has announced the release of their highly anticipated new album, Music Of The Spheres. The band's ninth LP will be available from October 15, 2021. With a handwritten message on Instagram and an album trailer, the band announced the album produced by Max Martin today. The trailer, titled 'Overture,' is a cosmic animated journey through the album's planet artwork, combined with short clips of the twelve new tracks. Sci-fi also seems to be one of the major themes on the new work. This is suggested by the following sentence from the band's Instagram note: 'Everyone is an alien somewhere.' In May, Coldplay released the first single from Music Of The Spheres. The song 'Higher Power' has already been streamed over 160 million times. In the message to their fans, the band also mentioned the upcoming release of another album track: 'Coloratura,' which was released today. Another single is set to follow in September. The band has already revealed the complete tracklisting of the album. In typical Coldplay fashion, five out of the twelve tracks have no titles but are represented by emojis.
