by Matthias Mader (13.06.2008) "Murder the dance"is another metalcore output from Bleed The Sky - or at least kind of... The band uses all tough and rough ingredients of that genre: death metal, hardcore, even emo. Tracks like "The demons that could be", the opener with that bizarre title "Knife fight in a phone booth" or "The sleeping beauty" offer the full range of metalcore trademarks: down-tuned guitars, aggressive drumwork plus the usual changes between "clean" and "dirty" vocals. That mixture is served to us in midtempo - unfortunately, the sound's a bit bumpy. Bleed The Sky do know the tricks of the trade and have the relevant musical background... And that's the snag: the songs are not too unique, I miss some real ear candy on this record. Be that as it may - the twelve songs are still upper medium class.
